Basingstoke Canal Society 60th Anniversary

Train to Woking and walk to Boundary Road Park, Woking, GU21 5BT along the canal (about a mile). I plan to get the train from Fleet at 12.10 to get to Woking at 12.28. Walk to the park to arrive by about 12.45pm. (I can't get an earlier train as I'm out in the morning.) Afterwards walk to Brookwood along the canal or get the train back from Woking if you have a return from Woking. Bring a picnic lunch. There maybe food stalls there too but I'm not sure. Pubs along the canal.

On the day, expect to see Kitty II, our new electric trip boat on the Canal and officially named, entertainment, live music, stalls from local charities, information about our history and a new and beautiful short film about the Basingstoke Canal Society.

You’ll also be able to get your hands on a print copy of our 60th anniversary booklet, speak to volunteers, see displays on the Canal and enjoy the magician, delicious coffee and learn more about the history of the Basingstoke Canal from our archivist team.
