Lower Froyle circular

via Upper Froyle, Hangers Hyle Copse and Sheephouse Copse. Picnic lunch.

Crossing the recreation ground and soon joining Husseys Lane a byway which takes us on an undulating tree clad track with lovely views when out of this ancient sunken lane. We then pick up a bridleway to pass through Hanger's Hyle Copse and Sheephouse Copse. A byway is taken to join a lane, then a footpath passes through open fields on to more woods eventually arriving at Saintbury Hill. From here a footpath heads towards Upper Froyle with extensive views. After admiring the interesting buildings we return to Lower Froyle via St.Swithun's Way.
