Location: Park and meet in Shawford Down CP. ( top CP on the edge of the main Otterbourne to Winchester Road)

From Shawford Down we head along the river to Twyford, then up onto Twyford Down, Hazley Down and St. Catherine Hill into St. Cross where we stop for lunch. Optional visit to the Bell Inn. In the afternoon we head towards Olivers Battery Compton Down, Compton, Yew Trees and back to Shawford and the car park. (photo Doug W).
