Location: Car parking can be found in front of Wellow Primary School on both sides of Romsey Road, or a little further along next to the War Memorial.

The outward leg is a gradual uphill walk north past St Margaret's Church (Florence Nightingale's Grave) through Woodington towards the Frenches and Doctor's Hill, before ascending north west to Gambledown for great views. The return leg is mainly downhill via Sherfield English, Melchet Court, and Plaitford Green back to the start. The countryside is mainly open fields with some woodland and gently rolling hills.
